Incredible Indonesia

Overview

Indonesia !!
A country made up of several islands...
A country endowed with natural splendour...
A country far away from the Indian subcontinent...
A country where Indian culture was rooted and blossomed...

Surprised...? But it is real.
South Indian emperors formed an empire that was unhindered by Indian territories thousands of years ago. King Rajendra Chola sailed overseas with his fearsome navy in the 11th century and conquered these tiny islands of the kingdom then known as 'Shri Vijaya'. However, this was not the first time these islands engaged with Indian civilization.
These islands have been in contact with entities from the Indian Subcontinent since the 7th century CE. The rulers of 'Shri Vijaya' progressively adopted Hinduism and Buddhism.
Indian culture gradually established and flourished on the Indonesian islands, known by various titles back then.

Nowadays, everyone aspires to travel to Bali at least once in their lifetime. It needs no introduction. This little island in Indonesia is surrounded by tranquil nature and the waters of the Indian Ocean.
Despite the fact that Islam is the most widely practised religion in Indonesia, population of Bali island in particular follows Hinduism. The Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata have had a strong influence on Balinese culture. However, in addition to Bali, Indonesia has two outstanding sites that are inscribed in the list of World Heritage Sites, namely Prambanan and Borobudur. Prambanan is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, while Borobudur is a Buddhist temple. Both monuments are quite old and have much more to offer.

So, what are you holding out for...Join us on this uniquely crafted tour to experience the culture and heritage of Indonesia.
