The grandest kingdom of history, Vijaynagara or you may call it as - HAMPI.
Hampi, it is a World Heritage Site and is truly a marvel of India.
Hardly any person would not know about Hampi. This place has been mentioned vastly in the Ramayana. This is the place where it is believed that Hanumana first met Rama. This is the place believed to be the abode of Vali and Sugreeva. Likewise, there are many fascinating tales annotated to Hampi. In the 14th Century, Hampi was made the capital of the Vijaynagara Kingdom. This is the time, this place witnessed a golden era in the history of India. In Krishnadevraya’s reign, Hampi was the richest, powerful and prosperous capital. Vijayanagara's fall was the most tragic incident in the history of India. One of the darkest era known to mankind. Even today, the ruins of the glorious Vijayanagara stand as a testimony of that Golden Era.
Apart from Hampi, this tour will also take you to some of the exquisite temples from the Western Chalukya era i.e. 11th-12th century. To name a few, Temple Complex of Lakkundi and Temple Complex of Gadag.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Board the afternoon flight to Belgaum. Upon arrival, travel to Hospet in a comfortable AC coach.

Have a nice breakfast in the morning and get ready for an expedition of Hampi. Explore ruins of Hampi. Sense the grandeur of the capital of Vijaynagara Kingdom. In the evening return to the hotel and relax. Stay at Hampi/Hospet.

It's time to bid adieu to Hampi. After breakfast, leave for the excursion of some lesser-known temples of Gadag. Spend a day exploring some magnificent architecture of the 11th-12th century.

It's time to head towards home. Leave early morning for Belgaum airport and board the afternoon flight to home.
